evenFLOW Daily Limit

What it is​

evenFLOW mails a fixed number of recipients a day from the campaign's mailing list. In the campaign wizard it's the A few each day trigger, under Spread out (evenFLOW). You set the daily rate (e.g., 50 a day) and evenFLOW works down the list at that pace.

When it reaches the end of the list, what happens depends on Start over at the end of the list:

  • On - it keeps cycling through the list without stopping.
  • Off - once everyone has been mailed, it waits for new recipients and mails them as they're added.

evenFLOW has a second trigger, Throughout the year, which gives each recipient a set number of cards a year (1 to 12), spread out evenly. Choose it when you want a fixed yearly frequency per person rather than a daily pace.

How to set it up​

  1. Go to Campaigns in the sidebar, open the campaign (the mailing list) you want to mail, and click Add action.
  2. Who: confirm the mailing list.
  3. What: pick a creative with both a front and a message, or use Separate front & message.
  4. When: under Spread out (evenFLOW), choose A few each day, then enter Recipients a day (1 to 100).
  5. Turn Start over at the end of the list on or off.
  6. Optionally, under After mailing, turn on Move each recipient to another list after mailing and choose a list.
  7. Review: check the summary, name the action, then click Start action (and confirm) or Save paused.
  8. On the campaign's page, use the action's menu → Preview to see how the next card will print. The Projected sends, next 12 months chart shows how many pieces the action is likely to mail each month.

Tips & best practices​

  • Calculate your daily limit to complete the list within your target window. A list of 500 at 20/day completes in 25 days.
  • Combine with Move each recipient to another list after mailing to build a rolling engagement filter: recipients who are mailed move to another list.
