Days After Added

What it is​

Days After Added (Days after they join in the campaign wizard) mails each recipient a fixed number of days after they are added to the campaign's mailing list. Add someone on day zero, and the action mails them on day N.

It is the most common trigger for drip sequences, welcome series, and lead nurture flows.

How to set it up​

  1. Go to Campaigns in the sidebar and open the campaign (the mailing list) you want to mail, then click Add action. To start from scratch, click New Campaign and choose or make a list.
  2. Who: confirm the mailing list. Optionally turn on Add "or current resident".
  3. What: pick a creative with both a front and a message, or use Separate front & message. Click Make a new creative if you need one.
  4. When: under When someone joins the list, choose Days after they join, then enter Days after someone joins the list (1 to 10,000). The earliest is the next day.
  5. Optionally, under After mailing, turn on Move each recipient to another list after mailing and choose a list.
  6. Review: check the summary and name the action, then click Start action (and confirm) or Save paused.
  7. On the campaign's page, use the action's menu → Preview to see how the next card will print.

Build a multi-step drip​

To build a drip sequence (e.g., Day 3 → Day 10 → Day 21):

  • Add several Days after they join actions to the same campaign, each with a different day count and creative, or
  • Use Move each recipient to another list after mailing to move recipients to a second list with its own actions. See Chaining & Actions.

Tips & best practices​

  • Use %FIRST_NAME% and other replacement variables in your creative's message to personalize automatically.
  • For a welcome series: warm introductory message on day 3, stronger CTA on day 10-14.
  • Preview using a real recipient from your list to catch variable issues before going live.

Limits & gotchas​

  • Duplicate Prevention applies. If the same recipient received mail less than 36 hours ago, the send is skipped for that recipient.
  • Timing counts from when each recipient was added to the list, not from when you start the action. Recipients added longer ago than the day count are skipped, so build the action before you upload a list you want it to mail.
